Why nutella ?? Why now ??

The thing i just don’t really get about nutella that its been around for ages yes it soo yummy yes its satisfying …etc but just recently i found that everyone is using nutella in their recipes ( nutella cookies, nutella hot chocolate, nutella chocolate molten, nutella basboosa !! and there are so many examples of the usage of nutella and still i dont get Why nutella Why Now ?? and what will the next magical ingredient be  twix ?? or maybe people will find out about aero ??

Project X is almost here

We are two day apart from the amazing event called Project X ( organized by Chef Boutique, Ahmed Alhindi and 13Cups )

And for those who don’t know any thing about this project; It’s a cocking competition and i believe its going to be more like the TV cooking shows ( Chopped – foodnetwork challenges …etc ) but the only difference is that its made for the bloggers and its sure going to be super fun :)

I’m really excited and cant wait for this day and a little bit scared because i know the other teams and they are a great cooks :- )

Chef Boutique – Day 1 – Orientation

Yesterday was the orientation day for the Project X in chef boutique and it was my first visit there as well, i fell in love with the place as soon as i stepped in

The workstation was well distributed to guarantee a perfect space for each team

And each team has their own workstation, oven , and some stuff were made to each team member and some were made to the team to share.

The event started with the brief and the rules and regulations of the competition

Then Chef Paul who has been a chef for over 30 years started to teach us some useful techniques

And we had so much fun working in the kitchen

10 Ways to Right-Size Your Meals

Portion distortion is one of the prime causes of obesity, yet most of us don’t realize that we overeat — or that when it comes to reining in calories, serving size is crucial. Here’s how you can downsize your portions and still feel satisfied.

1. Contemplating seconds? Wait 10 minutes. Your stomach needs about that long to signal the brain that it’s full, so stall before helping yourself to more mashed potatoes or lasagna. Keep the conversation going, tell a joke.

2. Quit the clean plate club. people intend to eat everything in their plates no matter how big is the serving portion is ,Eat a healthy portion, then stop. It’s better to waste a little food (and save it for tomorrow) than to overload your body.

3. Never eat directly out of the bag, box, or carton. Put the portion on the plate right away and put the package away, then sit down and enjoy.

4. Like big portions? Do this. Overload your plate with vegetables or salad with a smidgen of dressing or have a big, steaming bowl of broth-based soup. These water-rich, low-fat foods are so low in calories that a big portion isn’t a problem.

5. Use a salad plate as your dinner plate. Less real estate means automatic portion control.

6. Make “small” your default setting. When ordering food or drinks or buying packaged food at the store, automatically go for the smallest size of any high-calories items (The exceptions: Salads and veggies without added fat.) المكان وايد حلو وهادي مافيه لويه وازعاج, سما يقدمون جميع انواع الطعام بالاضافه للشيشه والي مايحب الشيشه الي انا واحد منهم فماراح تضايقك لأن المكان فيه شفاطات وايد للدخان 

ديكورات المكان وايد حلوه ومرتبه فماقدرت اقعد فرحت خذيتلي جم صوره للمكان

خيرونا ان نطلب من المنيو او ان اهما يختارون لنا علي ذوقهم فعشان مانحتار بالمنيو خليناهم يختارون لنا علي ذوقهم وكان اول الواصلين شوربة ماريسكوس حدها اعجبتني

you probably know that soda isn’t the best choice of drinks to have because of it’s effect on the body but i best that you didn’t know these 3 shocking things about it


1- Soda fattens up your organs

A recent Danish study revealed that drinking non-diet soda leads to dramatic increases in dangerous hard-to-detect fats. Researchers asked participants to drink either regular soda, milk containing the same amount of calories as regular soda, diet cola, or water every day for six months. The results? Total fat mass remained the same across all beverage-consuming groups, but regular-soda drinkers experienced dramatic increases in harmful hidden fats, including liver fat and skeletal fat. The regular-soda group also experienced an 11 percent increase in cholesterol compared to the other groups! And don’t think switching to diet varieties will save you from harm: Artificial sweeteners and food dyes have been linked to brain cell damage and hyperactivity, and research has shown that people who drink diet soda have a higher risk of developing diabetes.

Relax and Refresh With Mustard !!!

I just found out about some other uses for Mustard other than being in a food category

Soothe an aching back
Take a bath in yellow mustard to relieve an aching back or arthritis pain. Simply pour a regular 6- to 8-ounce (175- to 240-milliliter) bottle of mustard into the hot water as the tub fills. Mix well and soak yourself for 15 minutes. If you don’t have time for a bath, you can rub some mustard directly on the affected areas. Use only mild yellow mustard and make sure to apply it to a small test area first. Undiluted mustard may irritate your skin.

Relax stiff muscles
Next time you take a bath in Epsom salt, throw in a few tablespoons yellow mustard too. The mustard will enhance the soothing effects of the Epsom salt and also help to relax stiff, sore muscles.

Relieve congestion
Relieve congestion with a mustard plaster just like Grandma used to make. Rub your chest with prepared mustard, soak a washcloth in hot water, wring it out, and place it over the mustard.

Make a facial mask
Pat your face with mild yellow mustard for a bracing facial that will soothe and stimulate your skin. Try it on a small test area first to make sure it will not be irritating.

Remove skunk smell from car
You didn’t see the skunk in the road until it was too late, and now your car exudes that foul aroma. Use mustard powder to get rid of those awful skunk odors. Pour 1 cup dry mustard into a bucket of warm water, mix well, and splash it on the tires, wheels, and underbody of the car. Your passengers will thank you.

Remove odor from bottles
You’ve got some nice bottles you’d like to keep, but after washing them, they still smell like whatever came in them. Mustard is a sure way to kill the smell. After washing, just squirt a little mustard into the bottle, fill with warm water, and shake it up. Rinse well, and the smell will be gone.

1. Fish

To keep stress in check, add omega-3 fatty acids to your diet. These essential fats may help moderate stress hormones and protect against depression. Another study showed a reduction in a stress hormone in people who ate dark chocolate often. 3. Black Tea

Research from London suggests that drinking black tea may help you recover from nerve-racking events more quickly. Study participants who drank four cups of black tea every day for six weeks had lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and reported feeling more relaxed after stressful tasks than those who didn’t drink the tea. Other studies have touted black tea’s mood-boosting effects and suggested it can help increase alertness throughout the day.

4. Avocados

The flesh of these delicious green fruits is loaded with two powerful stress fighters: potassium and monounsaturated fatty acids. Both nutrients can lower blood pressure, and monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) may play a part in helping ward off depression. In a large 11-year study, the more MUFAs Spanish participants ate, the less likely they were to be depressed. Researchers think the fats may improve how the brain absorbs the mood-boosting neurotransmitter serotonin.
